Blessings of An Extra Week in the MTC!

When we arrived three months ago, missionaries not learning a language, stayed for two weeks.  Now the church missionary department decided to go back to the three week schedule, now that the huge influx of missionaries is more manageable.  This intake of missionaries will be in the MTC for three weeks now.  The missionaries will have the opportunity to return to the temple on their second week now.  About 30%  of our missionaries have lost one or both parents, and have not had the opportunity to have the temple work  done for their parents. President Brubaker and I felt the importance of trying to make this a reality while they are in the MTC.  We were blessed to have six senior missionary couples come from Accra today, and help missionaries log onto Family Search, and help them to prepare the names of deceased parents to be temple ready.  It was a special and meaningful experience for all of us!

Elder Tibbitts then prints the cards for missionaries to take with them to the temple next week.  He plans and prepares the schedule for the temple to help make the day be a success for these precious missionaries.
